We have two new programs premiering Thursday that history lovers won’t want to miss.
Beginning at 6:00p, we have the Seward House Museum’s lecture on queer 19th century actor, Charlotte Cushman. This lecture is presented by the Seward House’s Dr Jeff Ludwig and was part of Auburn Pride.
This will be followed at 7:00p by the Ward O’Hara Ag Museum’s Marth Shaw Harvesting History lecture Victory Farms: How Teens Helped Feed America During WWII. Presented by Karen Weissman, Ph.D., the lecture centers around the role teens played in ensuring farms could successfully function as many farm laborers left to join the military or take up employment in factories during the war.
Both programs will air on ARMA: Spectrum Channels 12 & 98 and Verizon FiOS Channel 31. Both programs will also be available on our website.
