City Notice: Auburn to Hold 2nd Smart Growth Comprehensive Plan Public Workshop

[Auburn, NY] — The second public workshop for the City of Auburn Smart Growth Comprehensive Plan (the Plan) will be held on Wednesday, November 18, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria at Casey Park Elementary School, 101 Pulaski St.

This second public workshop will focus on gathering feedback on the draft vision, goals, and recommendations for the development of the Plan. The workshop will begin at 6:00 pm with a short presentation reviewing the planning process to date, followed by an open house with interactive stations where attendees can share feedback to help refine the draft recommendations, strategies, and actions for the Plan. All feedback collected at this stage will help shape a clear strategic and actionable roadmap for the City’s future. Families are encouraged to attend as a children’s station, and light refreshments will be available. Registration for the public workshop is encouraged but not required. To register, please visit: https://tinyurl.com/AuburnCompPlanPW2.

The City of Auburn welcomes everyone to attend this public workshop and understands that accessible meetings benefit people with and without disabilities. If you require any assistive technologies, language translation, American Sign Language interpretation, and/or adaptive strategies to attend and engage at this meeting, please contact Emma Falkenstein with Highland Planning at 585-504-1672 or Emma@highland-planning.com at least three (3) business days in advance of the meeting.

Funded by the New York State Department of State Smart Growth Community Planning Grant Program, the City’s Smart Growth Comprehensive Plan will guide land use, development, and community investments in the City of Auburn over the next decade. The Plan will establish an aspirational, yet realistic vision for Auburn’s future and define policy focus areas, goals, and action items for achieving the City’s vision.
