Seward House Museum

The Seward House Museum is the historic home of William H. Seward, Secretary of State under Presidents Lincoln and Johnson, and Frances Miller Seward, a committed abolitionist and intellectual. Located in downtown Auburn at 33 South Street, SHM seeks to provide high-quality historical and cultural programming for Auburn, Central New York, and beyond.

The mission of the Seward House Museum is to connect people to the legacy of the Seward family and interpret their vision for equality, service, democracy, and progress.
